BOJEUX IS ALREADY IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT
Ingenious gifts for a magical holiday
Montreal, Monday, September 10, 2007 – Not impressed by destructive monsters and gun-toting robots? Check out what BOJEUX has thought up for you for this Holiday season, and once again feel the joy of giving the infinite power of the imagination and the good old fun of gathering family and friends around the game table. From smart toys for the little ones, to construction games for older children and adults, the BOJEUX catalogue is full of ideas, tips and imagination. A great way to bring the beauty and magic back to the Holidays.

Get creative with new products from PLAY ART
Like every year, the Play Art product line reinvents craft-making, and fuels the fascination of children with activities which allow them to create, assemble, weave and paint. Five new activities join the ranks of the Play Art family this year and all of them respond to the latest trends
for 6-8 year-olds.
  Sand Tattoos (6 and up)
Here is a revolutionary product for young, fashion-conscious girls who want to make multi-colour tattoos that are made of… sand! With pre-cut shapes and really smart sticky pads for the different colours of sand, children can create tattoos in no time. Welcome the Holidays with a new type of Christmas ornament… a star tattoo shining on your arm, a dolphin jumping on your ankle, or a flower growing on your shoulder!
Bracelet Creation (8 and up)
Jewellery-making has for some time now been the number one craft in school. The Bracelet Creation kit lets young designers imagine, design and create six bracelets using ribbons, beads and an assortment of charms.
Painting on Porcelain (6 and up)
First introduced a few years ago, porcelain bowl painting from BOJEUX has become a reference, an indispensable craft for children and adults alike. The toy maker has done it again this year with two new sets: the flower vase kit and the tea set. So pick up your paint brushes! Design, paint and bake to transform ordinary objects into works of art!
Window Fairies (6 and up)
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a fairy that gazed at the sky
and counted the stars… For children who continue to be fascinated by fairy tales and believe in legendary characters, BOJEUX brings an art kit that allows them to create their own fairies using string, glue, fabric and lace. Open your door to the magic of childhood!
  Candle Workshop (8 and up)
This year, when you think about decorating your home, think of “home-made” candles. Thanks to the Candle Workshop by Play Art, making candles has never been easier or more fun. You can make candles by putting together pieces of wax, decorating ready-to-paint candles or pouring coloured wax granules into glass candle holders. What a bright idea for an activity that the whole family can participate in over the Holiday season!

Learn to Draw with Disney
This year, BOJEUX invites young artists to explore the world of the uncontested authority on illustration and animation in the world: Disney. Designed for those three and over, the six new drawing sets combine the art of tracing, colouring, painting and gluing to create favourite Disney characters.

Disney Princess
Their names are Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Jasmine (Aladdin) and Sleeping Beauty. They are dazzling, mischievous and magical. They are the princesses of the wonderful world of Disney and the stars of the new sets from BOJEUX.

Character Crayons (3 and up)
This box contains 20 wax crayons shaped and coloured to represent Disney heroines.

Paper Buddies (3 and up)
Figurines made from recycled paper can be painted and collected.

Colour-in Tattoos (5 and up)

“Tell Me a Story” Stickers (5 and up)
Sheets of stickers which can be coloured and arranged in a book
to tell the story of each Disney princess… or to invent your own story.

Paint in the pad (3 and up)
A large album with 20 pictures to paint.

Winnie the Pooh Stickers (3 and up)
What if you invited Winnie, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore and Rabbit
to celebrate the Holidays with your children this year? The set includes colouring pages, a set of markers and over 1000 stickers in all shapes in colors. This is an absolute (and artistic) must for extending the fun that the famous tv-series has been giving little ones.

Fire Truck from MATCHITECTURE:A boy’s dream…
for dads and grand-dads

For fans of the construction game BOJEUX has been selling for eight years now, the Holidays are an ideal opportunity to introduce yet another model to the collection. This year, they can tackle a fire truck set, using 1500 matchsticks, a jar of glue, construction plans and a whole lot of patience.

Mentalogy and Junior Mentalogy:
Two board games to pick your brain

Have you ever felt like your brain is not as quick as it used to be? That your memory is slower… and that you need more and more post-it notes all over your fridge? You need to act… by playing Mentalogy. Introduced in England in 2003, upon the initaitive of a cabbie and a graphic designer, the English version of Mentalogy quickly became all the rage, both in Europe and in the United States. Often acclaimed in specialty magazines, the junior version has even received the “Best Toys and Gifts” award from Nick Jr. Family Magazine! Not only that, but many schools have now adopted the game as an essential educational tool in helping children boost learning and stimulate their innate mental capabilities.

This October, Bojeux, the distributor of the game in Canada, is introducing Mentalogy (ages 9-99) and Junior Mentalogy (ages 4+) for French speakers. The rules of both games are simple: memory cards are arranged in 4 theme-based categories on the playing board. Players advance through the various memory challenges, and finally arrive at the “Finish” square. The object of the game is to recall the longest possible sequence of cards… while discovering the weak spots in your opponents’ memory. So start using those rusty neurons in an action-packed mental adventure!

Mathable: New edition of the famous
mathematical strategy game
Remember your multiplication tables? Get ready, Mathable is coming back! The most
popular mathematical equations game in the world, Mathable is much more than a simple game. It’s an event. Invented in Quebec in 1987, later introduced in Europe in the 90’s, and immediately adopted by the public, Mathable (also known as MixMath) has disappeared from store shelves in the past few years. But this October, by popular demand, BOJEUX is officially ressurecting the game in a brand new deluxe wooden edition.

Mathable is a mathematical equations game which uses a grid where players place their number tokens. The numbers represent the results of various basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). At any moment, players can land on any of the restriction or reward squares, which make for an even more exciting game. The player with the most points wins. Try it, do your math and you will be amazed what buckets of fun this game is whether you are playing in 2`s, 3`s or 4`s, and whether you are 9 or 99!

At the start of the game, Jojo covers his eyes with his ears and begins to count while the child hides. When he gets to 10, his ears stand up again, and he begins
to look for the child who is wearing the carrot. As he searches, Jojo says, “Hot… cold…”, and when he finds the child, he sings and asks for a peck!
Jojo sur l’eau (18 months and up)
This time, Jojo the rabbit explores the waters… of your bathtub! A sailor in an adorable little sailboat, he begins to sing as soon as his boat hits the water. But careful! As soon as he hits an obstacle, Jojo is tossed into the water!

A turtle that runs, a duck that chuckles and a fish that wriggles.

These three new rattles from Ouaps! are perfect in every way; they are cute and colourful, they are soft to the nibble and they make sounds as soon as they are put in water. Fun, surprising and completely irresistible.

Bath Duck (12 months and up)
It’s the essential companion, the superstar of bath time. Completely revamped by Ouaps!, the bath duck comes in four different colours, looks like mischief and sounds smart: as soon as it is put in water, makes “quack quack” .

Bath Doll “À la claire fontaine” (18 months and up)
For all the little girls out there, here is a doll that is not afraid to get wet. She sings “À la claire fontaine” and as soon as she is put in water, starts talking to your child . The doll comes with its own accessories (a watering can and frog) and gives new meaning to bath time!
